1981 Ford Stepside Pickup

The owner of this truck brought it in for a full mechanical and body restoration.

We started with the mechanical, overhauling the brakes, suspension, steering and even installing a new upgraded A/C system.  The engine was a 6 cylinder, 300 cu. in. with about 200 HP.  The owner wanted to stay with that, but liven it up a bit.  We did!  With the addition of headers, dual exhaust, performance camshaft and pistons, carburetion, and valve and head work, we have the engine putting out over 325 HP!  VERY lively with a great sound and fun to drive!

The body work and paint were meticulously done in near the orginal two-toned blue and white and looks great.

My first attempt at restoring and installing a new wood bed with stainless steel strips was very rewarding as it turned out just gorgeous and looks striking next to the blue metalic paint.

A trip to the upholstery shop for a seat rebuild and new headliner finished off a fantastic looking truck!  The final touches were to replace the badly cracked dash and door panels and to repaint them the original blue.
